How can I get my wlan service to "start"? When I try, I get error 1068
I am trying to get my WLAN service to work. I have suddenly lost connectivity to my wireless adapter. The problem appears to be that the WLAN service is not working. When I try to "start" the service, I get error 1068. I tried to follow directions from Novak on a previous string ("Window 7 home premium Error 1068 autoconfig"), but I guess I did not execute those steps correctly. I exported the wlansvc (the entire folder) from another Win7 compuuter (onto a USB drive), but I was unable to copy it onto the problematic one. I was even unable to delete the old one. I understand that the "dependencies" may need to be checked, but I don't know how to check them or fix them. CORRECTION: I found the dependencies in the list of services, and they all appear to be working. I also tried to change the value in regedit (from 3 to 2) as suggested in another forum, restarted, no help. I have Windows7 Home premium Thank you

Hi, Based on my experiences, error code 1068 indicates that the dependency service or group failed to start. I know that you had tried several steps before posting here. To get this issue resolved, I would like to suggest more options: 1. Check the Telephony service as well. As I know, the Telephony service needs to be Started automatically. 2. Ensure that all the following dependency services are started, please change all their Start keys to value 2(enabled). Ndisuio (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Ndisuio) DcomLaunch (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\DcomLaunch) NativeWiFiP (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NativeWifiP) RpcSs (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\RpcSs) 3. Some viruses may modify the start type of service, please update your security software and perform a full scan. 4. Run the command: SFC /SCANNOW to automatically fix the corrupted files.
